The hidden memory of objects.

We are surrounded by silenced objects. At Struunt, I explore their hidden language, transmuting forgotten fragments—worn wood, the patina of time—into poetic visual sculptures.

I do not seek perfection, but texture, scars, and the dignity of the unseen. Struunt invites you to elevate these memories, turning stored emotion into a timeless piece for your private collection.

Ancestral Minimalism.

A study of stark forms against the void.
Where utility ends, sculpture begins.

ABOUT STRUUNT

Javier Alarma | Visual Artist & Light Sculptor

"I do not photograph objects; I photograph the time trapped within them."

Rooted in the mist-covered mountains of Northern Spain (Asturias), Javier Alarma has dedicated his life to a singular obsession: mastering the language of light. Born in the heart of the Redes Natural Park, a territory defined by silence and ancient woods, his work is a tribute to a disappearing world.

Struunt is his artistic manifesto. Moving away from the noise of modernity, Javier retrieves forgotten artifacts—ancestral wooden shoes ("madreñas"), worn tools, silent witnesses of a hard life—and elevates them to the category of Fine Art.

Using a technique reminiscent of classic Chiaroscuro, he isolates the subject in absolute darkness, revealing only its texture, its scars, and its dignity. The result is not a mere image, but a piece of history preserved in pigment and paper.

His works are currently held in private collections, serving as a bridge between the raw beauty of the rural past and the sophistication of contemporary interior design.

Javier

At Struunt, we do not see discarded objects; we see silenced history. We rescue forgotten artifacts—weathered wood, oxidized metal, remnants of a past life—and transmute them into visual compositions that speak of memory and dignity.

Each piece is more than an object: it is a moment suspended in time, an echo of craftsmanship and nature, captured through the lens.

We do not seek the artificial perfection of the new. We honor the profound, quiet beauty of the imperfect.

Photographs you can feel, memories that last

Printing on cotton paper turns a simple image into an experience. Its warm and elegant texture enhances every detail, bringing depth and vibrancy to colors. Being a natural, acid-free material, it ensures that your memories remain intact over the years. It’s more than just paper: it’s the most authentic way to give your photographs the beauty and durability they deserve.

Materials & Process

We work exclusively with reclaimed wood and traditional Dutch clogs (klompen), reshaping them into sculptures and photographic still lifes. Every element is hand-selected for its texture, wear, and origin. Through a meticulous process of cutting and composition, the material itself guides the final form.

Our artistic photography captures these works under controlled light, evoking calm, reflection, and timelessness.
